Paola Vottero - President
ATA
Accredited Translator
In
1996 Paola was Accredited by the American Translators Association as a
Professional Translator and was working full-time for a Boulder-based
translation company. In 1999, she founded TrueSpanish to accommodate her
desire to attend Graduate School, and to be true to her entrepreneurial
spirit.
In
2001 she graduated with a Master’s Degree in English Literature and she
was able to build a loyal client portfolio, which became bigger and
stronger through the years. Paola was sought-after many Denver/Boulder
companies as one of the top Translators in her field due to her accuracy,
knowledge, attention to detail and timely deliveries.
Paola
is a native of Argentina who has an extensive international exposure. She
lived in the United States for 15 years, has traveled extensively through
Europe, and now resides in Chile.
According
to Paola, “A true translator is not the one who translates word by word or
literally, but one who can capture the essence and the flavor of the
language and can communicate it effectively and flawlessly”. It is
precisely her 10 year experience as a Translator coupled with that
world-wide understanding of peoples and cultures that makes her stand up
from the rest.
Paola’s
talents are multifarious: as a lover of words and philosophy, she has been
reading Philosophy and writing since she was a teenager. She has written
thousands of poems and studies exploring and questioning different aspects
of life, and the topics of love, time and space, solitude, social
injustice and human nature. She was Semi-Finalist in a National Library of
Poetry’s contest with her poem “Metamorphosis”. In 2005 she launched a CD
collection of
Poems about Time & Love.
True
to the Latin motto “Mens Sana in Corpore Sano”, Paola has been
swimming since she was a child, later run several 10 K races and a Half
Marathon, then moved to into the Triathlon world, and now she runs and
practices Ashtanga Yoga.
